The Twelve of Cultural Landscape of The Czech Republic
- To legally acknowledge the landscape as the essential component of environment;
- to approve and fulfil landscape policies;
- to delimit landscape types and units for the CR and to define their target landscape characteristics;
- to evaluate the landscape of delimited units and to analyse what increases or decreases its quality;
- to objectively define the current qualities and future optimal character of individual landscape units prior to consultations with the public;
- to protect what is desirable to be protected from the perspective of society as a whole;
- to manage the landscape with regard to sustainable development;
- to plan and make up the landscape with respect to the rules of European Landscape Convention focusing on activities which increase landscape value or which recover damaged landscape;
- to monitor ongoing landscape processes with regard to changes in landscape characteristics and characteristics of individual landscape unit and impacts arising from such changes;
- to support education and training on the importance of cultural landscape and its planning;
- to increase awareness of civil society, private organization and public bodies on landscape value, its role and changes;
- to cooperate at European level during planning, protection, maintenance and making up of the landscape by means of exchanging experience, information and experts.
The ministers undertake that within their ministries they will create conditions for cooperation with the established Interdepartmental Commission for European Landscape Convention Implementation and they will take steps for its fulfilment and implementation in compliance with it.
